Where to see Giant Pandas in China

The Giant Pandas of China can be seen in the Panda House Panda eat bambooat Beijing Zoo, here the Giant Pandas have been successfully bred in captivity for a number of years.
Although the Panda House is extensive and a relative easy way to view Pandas for a few hours. Those who are more enthusiastic about Giant Pandas, a visit to Chengdu in Sichuan province, where the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding was developed maybe more fulfilling. Here farmland was turned into a natural forest of trees such as ginkgos, chinars, yulans, willows and high dense bamboo and grasses. An environment was created for the enrichment of Panda life to emulate as close as possible real Panda habitat. This habitat also supports the lives of a variety of wildlife, and visitors may see Red Pandas in the trees above as well as thrushes, cuckoos, kingfishers and egrets.

It is always best to visit outside of the hot summer months as the Pandas avoid the heat, in the Spring a memorable experience is to witness a mother Panda playing with her several-month old babies. Or in autumn when the new born babies can be seen in the nursery house. Remember, Jane Yeo Tours can negotiate discounts on your accommodation and air travel throughout your China tour.
